The Process of Jojoba Oil Extraction

Jojoba oil extraction begins with drying jojoba seeds for a week or more. The drying process can take a couple of weeks before they are ready for the oil extraction plant. Once the seeds have dried sufficiently, it is now time to press them for jojoba oil by use of cooking oil screw press. The oil should be separated from jojoba wax to acquire pure oil. After the extraction process, jojoba oil is poured into a container which is then covered with a cap. The container is then stored in a cool and dry place. For solvent extraction production, commercial hexane and petroleum are employed as the extraction solvents. The process should be done in temperatures ranging between 30 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius.
